Akin to living up to its status as the “Best Aviation Online Payment Bank”, GTBank has concluded the deployment of an enhanced online platform for Africa World Airlines (AWA) for the sale, purchase and payments for air tickets.

“Prior to this deployment, passengers could only book and make payments via AWA’s Touch Shop service which required them to visit any GTBank branch or other partner banks to book and pay for their ticket reservations. The other option is to call the airline to make reservation and visit their office to make payment.

Under the enhanced “Book and Pay Service”, passengers can book their tickets online, obtain their Passenger Notification Reference (PNR) and make payment at any branch of GTBank. Alternatively, passengers can book their tickets online (via and make payment online as well.”

Mr. Armah continued that, “Passengers could also book their ticket online, and pay using GTBank Internet Banking (for customers of GTBank), or pay via GTBank USSD platform *737#. The icing on the cake in this enhanced service is that non-customers of GTBank can simply dial *737*88# and pay for their tickets.

While cash is acceptable in the banking halls, the other payment channels (Internet Banking, myghpay, *737#) accept bank transfer, Visa, Master and GH-Link cards, and of course, Mobile Money. In all cases, passengers only need their PNR. Tickets will be delivered to nominated email addresses upon successful payment.”
